Shabby Chic Bedspring Snowflake (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I decided to create a shabby chic, winter-filled wonderland full of warmth and inviting colors of creams, whites, frosty blues and even a tiny amount of teal! I wanted to incorporate a rusty old bedspring as the base (but yikes!!! I felt terribly guilty about painting it! LOL!) and a snowflake template I found on the internet that I resized, machine stitched and stuffed! I am currently creating for upcoming Christmas bazaars and wanted to design a quick, yet simple, inviting alternative for home décor for the holidays!

This was very easy to do with beautiful products from Reneabouquets!!

Shabby Chic DIY Altered Home Decor Keepsake (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I wanted to create a beautiful gift for a friend, (whose daughter had recently married this last summer) and the minute she popped a few pictures onto social media, I saw them, had to have them for my project and saved them quickly to my album. I actually wasn't sure which photo I was going to use for this project until I received a new Beautiful Board release from Reneabouquets...the "Tree Frame" (link will be below). It went perfectly with this photo of the bride, so picturesque, in front of the silhouetted tree. I used a Dollar Tree Wood Home Décor piece, removed the "yarn art" and painted it with Prima Heavy Black Gesso. I tried to stay within the feel of my friend's home colors of greys, stones, and natural shades, recolored the photo just a bit to give it a more timeless feel, and added beautiful pieces (including the exquisite Beautiful Board product) from Reneabouquets to complete the overall enchanting, textured quality for a treasured keepsake that can be displayed in her home for years to come.
