Altered Canvas! (DT project for ThePiecebyPiece)

Its that time again!  Another Design Team Project that I've created! It's my first altered canvas!the size is 11x17. I really wanted to showcase the romance of this photo from a friend of mine!  It tells such a beautiful love story!  I used Lots of Prima Almanac paper and coordinating flowers along with exquisite laces from Beverly's store!  I also used  Prima Vintage Trinkets, Resin Ppieces and Wheat Sprays--all from Beverly's store as well!  I used lots of texture with Prima masks and modeling paste around the canvas edges and throughout the front of the canvas.  Added shimmer with Lindys Stamp Gang sprays. And did my usual distressing of all the paper edges and added stitching with my sewing machine! I wanted this project to look a bit grungy, yet stay soft and romantically shabby chic! I used my texture paints (black,off-white, and peach) to add the texture throughout the project. I started with the black texture paint in the lower left corner and subtly blended  in the off-white texture paint and ended with the peach texture into the upper right corner of the canvas!  I added the texture to all the embellishments and flowers as well!  I used the new Tim Holtz buckles (love those!) and some Prima/Tim Holtz keys to a large vintage looking cabinet handle at the bottom of this canvas. I printed the photo on to a canvas type fabric from my own printer and frayed the edges of the fabric. I topped it all off with a Prima Chipboard piece from the Engraver line (from Beverly's store) in the upper left corner that says "memories with you". Simply stated. Simply beautiful. Simply a love story for all time. Here's the pics!

A little Grunge, A little Romance! "Always Sweet Love" DT Project!

Time for another DT Project for Discount Paper Crafts! This is a project I have completed for a swap for a very special, sweet lady!  She better not peek until she receives her stuff! My next DT project will also be another item for her...so stay tuned!
I've made this project with The Prima Engraver line--which I just adore!!! Who doesn't? I wanted to really focus on some texture and some bold black and white color mixes! Also wanted to make this somewhat grungy, ('cuz that's just some of what this gal likes!) but, I wanted to stay true to my romantic side too! I bought some rectangle boxes and adhered them together to make a larger configuration box! 
Added lots of goodies from 'Discount Paper Crafts' Etsy Store, metals here and there, a light bulb, a domino game piece, some clock hands, metal corner flourishes, lots of flowers, used a prima stencil, added texture with white paint and even included some cabinet handles (just to name a few items)... and POOF!                         "Always Sweet Love"

Quick card I made!!

So.... I sent off some happy mail and decided to throw in a quick handmade card!  Pulled out my Glitz 'Pretty in pink' paper line for this one. I distressed all the edges with the Tim Holtz distresser tool, sewed around all my layers of paper and curled back a corner or two. Added some shimmer with Mister Huey's Color Mist 'shine'. Threw in some flowers by SaCrafters Zibbet store, a verigated pink fabric flower and a large white flower by Petaloo. There is a Bead Landing clock hand, a key, and even a tiny bird nestled in the flowers! At the left of the flower arrangement is a wooden clock and wooden "friends" tag (also by SaCrafters). You'll also see some Tim Holtz film strip ribbon and brads, a cute decorated stick pin given to me by a sweet friend and a metal embellishment that I ordered from Butterbeescraps (also a zibbet store) at the top of the flowers. Added some "dots" with a Prima stencil/molding paste and added some all-over softness with white texture paint.
