Linda’s DIY by Design: May 2019

Most of us probably have an unfinished wood frame in our box of projects to do....I, personally have a couple...so I decided to bring one out for a Reneabouquets Design Team project. This wood frame is about 6x8 in size with an opening of about 4x6...give or take a few lines of measurement. LOL. I thought the opening would have a great depth to house some of my embellishments while also allowing those embellishments to rise upward (by layering) and spill out onto the frame itself. I was able to feature my main piece, the Reneabouquets Printed Beautiful Board Romance and Roses Blue Cherub...completely adorable and perfect for my small but shabby piece of home décor.

Mini Wood Book Stack (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

    A few years ago I found a bag full of wooden book shapes, in different sizes, at a garage sale. I didn't know what I was going to do with them, but I knew they would come in handy with art projects at some point...and I was right! I've used several of the tiny books with projects like this one of a decorative Shabby Chic Bird Cage:

    But today, with this project, we are going to use the larger of the book shapes and do an altered mini book stack. This project was super quick and fun! Adding in all the exquisite pieces from Reneabouquets including Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard pieces like Spring Butterflies and Mulberry Paper Flowers that are handcrafted in house using high quality mulberry paper, helped turn this shabby chic piece of art turned into fabulous piece of home decor!
