Christmas Belle Wood Tag (Design Team Project for Reneabouquets)

I wanted to put together an easy, yet shabby chic Christmas Wood Tag featuring the endearing Reneabouquets Printed Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard of "Christmas Belle". She emits those feelings of being hurried while bustling about doing her Christmas Shopping with her cute little dog trying to pull her in a different direction...I'm assuming he's wanting a little afternoon treat and letting Belle know that it's time to hurry home! I know, right! A lot of story from one cute vintage image! Sooooo, she had to become the focus of this particular project! I used lots of great product from Reneabouquets.com! This project did not take much time to complete and would make a cute piece of home decor for Christmas or to give as a gift to that special someone! Shabby Chic Fall Sign (DT Project for Reneabouquets.com)

I found these cute little signs with knobs on them at Dollar Tree, bought more than I needed, and pulled one out for this project! I wanted to come in with one last Fall themed project for the season, as I know that everyone is well on their way into doing crafts for Christmas...even me...but I couldn't let the beautiful colors of Fall go away so quickly! I wanted to feature some beautiful Reneabouquets Mulberry Flowers for this project, particularly with the 13 pc. set of the Dark Olive Roses and Leaves. I chose Olive and dark orange, almost cinnamon colors...which reminds me, if you are still working on Fall, check out this new set of Mulberry Paper Flowers (Cinnamon and Sugar) https://www.reneabouquets.com/product-page/cinnamon-and-sugar-roses-gardenias-mulberry-paper-flower-set ....match these with the Dark Olive and they are two beautiful shades that are heavenly together!

Rustic Shabby Fabric Pumpkin (Design Team project for Reneabouquets.com)

In all honesty, I needed a quick, cute, rustic type piece of art for this project, as I am knee deep in creating designs for upcoming Christmas Craft bazaars. BUT, I still wanted something that could showcase the gorgeous Reneabouquets product. I started with hand drawing my own pattern for a long shaped pumpkin, sewed the perimeter with my sewing machine...now, normally, here is where you would turn the pumpkin inside out to hide the seams you've just sewn. I didn't want to do that. I thought it would be cuter to let the seams show and add to the rustic appeal. and...its quicker. LOL. Then you simply stuff the pumpkin, added twine to give my pumpkin some sections, add a stem from a tree branch...either from your backyard, or Dollar Tree has put out bags of all types of tree stems from different types of trees in varying widths...and those were the stems for me! Once the pumpkin is ready, its time to decorate! The pumpkin ends up measuring about 5 inches tall and abut 12 inches long. Here are the photos! Shabby Chic Altered Frame (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I realize that by now, all the Christmas Decor has hit the stores, and yes...I'm already beginning projects for Christmas Bazaars, but my heart still wanted to create a design team project that captures calmer tones of the popular Fall colors of grays, ivory and add in some beautiful tones of aquas. I also wanted a relatively easy DIY project that looked like I spent a lot of time creating it.! :).
I started with a home decor frame/sign that I purchased from Hobby Lobby in the Fall Decor section this year. It was perfect as it already had the farmhouse look with wood grain and stained a nice shade of grey. It did have a hefty price tag of about $3(on sale). LOL. I love to pack a lot of product in a small space! It doesn't take too much time, allows me to layer...alot... and in the end, create a memorable statement piece when it is finished. I used a lot of Reneabouquets product including some Beautiful Board pieces for fall, some beautiful mulberry flowers in seafoam and my favorite Chiffon flowers with Rhinestone and Pearl centers.

Shabby Chic Wood Tag (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I really wanted to capture the colors of Fall with aqua, gray, beige and a little splatter of Apricot...reaching for the warmer side of the Autumn spectrum. I also wanted a relatively easy DIY project but with the look of spending a lot of time! :). I started with a hanging wood sign that I purchased at Wal-Mart in the Fall Decor section this year. Shabby Chic Home Decor for Fall (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

Most of us probably have an unfinished wood piece we purchased from a craft store in our box of projects to do....I, personally, have a couple...OK...you caught me in a fib...I have more than a couple...so I decided to bring one of these wood pieces out for a Reneabouquets Design Team project. I really wanted to do something in Autumn colors, so I chose a Prima Marketing Inc paper collection called Amber Moon, which hosts a bountiful supply of beautiful colors for the Fall Season! The wood piece I am working with is 7x7 in size. What I liked about this piece is the dimension. It isn't flat, but has four raised 3x3 squares...perfect for paper dimension. I thought these squares would add some texture in the background while allowing me to layer...and layer...and layer in the foreground (You'll see what I'm talking about in the photos!). I was able to use many beautiful pieces from Reneabouquets ...including some fun Fall Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard pieces...which all worked perfectly for my small but shabby piece of home décor.

DIY Dollar Tree Craft: Rustic Farmhouse Pumpkins... plus free printables for your pumpkin crafts!!!

Hey Everyone!
I get lots of requests on my You Tube channel (around the holidays) on how I make my cute tags for my product that I sell at Craft Bazaars. Well, normally, Id love to do a "how-to" tutorial and show you these things...but I'm afraid that although I do use the most recent of Windows program, the Microsoft Publisher program that I use to create my tags is not so new....OK...its like a 2002 program!!! You can now get off the floor. LOL. Buying programs is expensive, as we all know, and since this year and model still works on my computer....why should I buy a new one, right?
Sooooo, with that said, I've decided to create some printables for you all to use. This first one up is for a recent DIY tutorial upcycling wooden Dollar Tree pumpkins to make them even cuter pumpkin for home decor. Check out my You Tube link below to watch this craft and try it for yourself! Following the video link are two printables for the project. Of course, you can use these printables on any cute Autumn Home Decor project!!! I've developed the Autumn Pumpkin Phrases so that they can be punched out using a 2 inch craft circle punch or you can cut them out with scissors, of course, and mod podge or glue them on to your pieces. You can also use carbon paper for tracing and then use a sharpie marker or paint and brush to finish your design! I've made phrases or single words that you can mix and match! The Hand Drawn Leaves printable can be used to make your own leaves
using fabrics such as felt or burlap (or even the Dollar Tree burlap ribbon that is 2 inches wide can be used). Simply download the printable and size it according to your needs, trace your favorite design onto the fabric or ribbon, cut it out and use it for your project!

Mixed Media Wood Tag: Love/Explore Your Path (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

   For both my projects this month, I will be working with Treasure Box #2. For this first design, I started with 7x7 wood wall décor piece that I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby and upcycled it into a beautiful shabby chic treasure. Both kits are beach themed, but I really wanted to try and create a project that was shabby with a slight focus on the Reneabouquets Printed Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Sunkissed Starfish Mermaid. I tried to refrain from going too "beach" themed on purpose, as I wanted to show that even though these beautiful kits are designed with the beach at heart, any of these pieces can be used in a whole different direction with a whole different theme. I chose to use the Sunkissed Starfish mermaid for her qualities of beauty and the feeling she elicits when you look at her vs. the vibe of the ocean. I also chose to use the "B" side of the Mintay Paradise paper, because by doing this, and using a more plain pattern in the collection, it helps to change the focus of the obvious beach theme as well.
