For this project, I wanted to create a farmhouse style home decor piece with a shabby twist. I started with a 9x9 unfinished slat board style piece of wood from Hobby Lobby and painted it a nice dark gray tone. Since I was creating a "home" piece, I thought it would be cute to add some wooden numbers around the perimeter, to simulate house numbers (which I spray painted a lighter tone of gray), and I also wanted to add a handle that I spray painted white for that look of the door knob on the front door. From there, I simply layered up with all sorts of tags and ephemera pieces that I thought gave a reference to "home" using tones of whites, creams and aquas. I used wood letters from Hobby Lobby as well for the H,M,E of the word" home". For the "O" in home I wanted to use the smallest size of the Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Set of 3 Chain Link Frames. Then I proceeded to use other Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Pieces such as a large decorative clock hand (to reference time), Beautiful Bits Gears (to reference how family is blessed with the workings of love) and beautiful Mulberry Paper Roses and Leaves in the Seafoam shades.
