As you enter into this blog, you will find all sorts of DIY's from home décor to papercrafting...all created by me...a sweet & sassy woman, saved by Grace. I am always challenging my world of handmade possibilities & I am always seeking the crafty life! I hope you find lots of inspiration here!
I wanted to create a cute Springtime Shabby Farmhouse Home Decor Sign, working with a color palate of Teals and Grays. I was inspired by a cute quote on Pinterest and changed the wording a bit to suit my design because I really wanted to focus on the theme of Springtime flowers and bees so that I could incorporate some of the Reneabouquets Beautiful Board product and Reneabouquets Mulberry Paper Flowers that would match the final result of the quote! I will be honest, it wasn't hard to do! The sign I chose to use as a base was already a home decor sign that I purchased last fall from Hobby Lobby (on sale, of course!) It was already painted and distressed, so part of that work was done for me. I also added some elements onto the project to give it a slight rustic feel that would work well with the distress of the sign itself. So, if you would like to see how I put this sign together, I will have the entire start to finish process of my You Tube Video down below the pictures as well as the links to the Reneabouquets product I used on this project. I started with this decor frame that I had for years and when I got it, I changed out the original print and did a paper craft project in the center opening of the mat. That hung on the wall for a few years, and then into the attic it went, stored, until finally it hit the garage sale pile. While thinking of a project to do, I thought about that frame and stole it back off the junk pile and decided to recycle it into a new Farmhouse/Shabby "Window" Frame. The original color was a dark burgundy, but I wanted a fresh Spring look with soft grays, whites and peaches. I also wanted a little bit of a rustic look, so if you look close in the photos, I've added a small wood slices and a wood stick to the mix (as I did with my last design team project). I just liked those small touches and some of the supplies were still out on my craft table, so I decided to use some of the same pieces again. I created the sentiment on the "window" using my Cricut vinyl cutting machine. I went with white becusae I thought it felt fresh with the decor embellishments, mulberry paper flowers and Beautiful Board product from Reneabouquets.com. I will have all the links down below to the product I used from Reneabouquets as well as the full start to finish video from my You Tube channel! You won't want to miss the process! It's fun to watch and Caution!!! It might inspire you to create you ow Farmhouse decor! First up...photos!! Thanks for stopping by!!
