Shabby Chic Altered Home Decor Photo Frame (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I wanted to create a beautiful gift for my best friend of 30 years, as a Christmas gift. I purchased a wood sign with a heartwarming quote and a wood picture frame. I painted the picture frame with Prima Heavy Black Gesso and then using a white Folk Art Home Décor Chalk paint and a foam brush, I dry brushed on some white to give a distressed look to match the distressed look of the wood sign. I then used E6000 to glue the frame to the sign. I tried to stay within the distressed feel of sign so I recolored a recent photo of us to black and white so that it would lend a more timeless feel. I added beautiful pieces (including the exquisite Beautiful Board product) from Reneabouquets to complete the overall textured quality for a treasured keepsake that can be displayed in her home for years to come.

Shabby Chic/Vintage Altered Christmas Sled (DT project for Reneabouquets)

Well, how many other descriptive words could I get into the title for this project! LOL! But I decided to create a shabby chic/vintage wonderland full of Christmas warmth and traditional colors of reds, and whites! I also wanted to incorporate a little bit of a rustic country feel by adding some elements such as painted "rusty" bells, "sugared" bells, a Beautiful Printed Board called "Christmas Holly" that I feel adds further to the rustic, country, vintage feel. I wanted this project to be simple, inviting and match some of the other décor I have created this holiday season. I think it worked out perfectly and am pleased to have it displayed in my home! This project was very easy to do with beautiful products from Reneabouquets!!
