Country Christmas Wood Slice Home Decor (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I've been wanting to create a project on a wood slice for awhile, and since I have been working on Country and Rustic style projects for upcoming Christmas Craft Bazaars, it was an easy transition to design a personalized home décor piece! I love altering items and adding a personal photo, especially for holiday décor, because once the holidays are over, all those items get packed away until you bring them out again the next year. It's a special moment when you unwrap a piece and see a memory staring up at you...allowing you to take a step back into time, enjoy the photo, and also the specialized décor you created for the season. It's very fulfilling.
It was very easy to decorate this wood slice (that I purchased at Walmart...it was the lowest price I've seen without a coupon) with beautiful product from Reneabouquets! I was able to use some Beautiful Board and Printed Beautiful Board Christmas products, some exquisite laces, mulberry flowers and handcrafted (by Renea) Tiny Treasures Butterflies. Country Christmas Garland (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I have been in the thick of getting ready for Christmas Craft Bazaar season and have been making Christmas Garlands with a country/rustic theme. When I received some new Christmas pieces in my design team kit, including the new Beautiful Board Explosion/Ornament/Gift box....I thought it would make a sweet addition to the center of a Garland! By adding a few more Beautiful Board pieces such as S/6 Winter Snowflakes and some Printed Beautiful Board Die Cuts such as Christmas Carol, this garland all came together rather perfectly!!! Country Rustic Wood Shadowbox Tray (DT Project for Renebouquets)

Coming into the autumn season of giving thanks and being reminded of all things hoped for, I wanted to create a home décor piece that is an artful reminder of the blessings bestowed upon us each and every day. I had a wooden tray that I purchased a year or so ago, awaiting inspiration. I actually removed the handles from the top side and flipped the wood piece over to use the underneath side, which created a wonderful 'shadowbox' type tray! I also reattached the handles... I wasn't tossing those out! This project wasn't complete without using some beautiful product from Reneabouquets! S/2 Farmhouse Country Style Fabric Pumpkins (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

Sooooo.....I was scrolling around on Pinterest, looking for inspiration for fabric pumpkins, and came across some cute Farmhouse style ones! I loved that they were a rectangle shape vs the usual round shape, because it gave them a cute, quirky, Farmhouse feel! I grabbed my pencil, a few sheets of paper, and drew two pumpkin shapes (I wanted a matching set), freehand. I had some country looking fabric out (because I am in the midst of preparing for some Christmas Bazaars) and used that fabric for these pumpkins! Perfect colors in the shades of reds, greens, and browns! I pulled out some laces, flowers, Beautiful Board pieces and trinkets from Reneabouquets...and my set of pumpkins are done! I normally tend to load up my projects with lots of embellishments, but I felt that this Farmhouse/Country style lent itself well to a more minimal look! Shabby Chic Altered Mini Sailboat (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I have been inspired by a sweet artist friend of mine to alter a mini sailboat. She has altred a couple of them for design teams and I thought that if I ever found a mini sailboat, I wanted to alter one myself. Now, that being said....Nope. Don't sail! LOL. I just picture sailing this calm, serene, relaxing activity and wanted to do a little art capturing that thought process! Shabby Chic Altered "Rusty Rake & Roses" (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I found a rusty old rake head at a garage sale this past summer and even though my hubby looked at me funny, he and I both knew that I would alter it in some fashion. Since the rake was rusty and dirty I wanted to beautify it up using flowers, creating a rust and roses theme. I added quite a bit of layering with Reneabouquets product including her Beautiful Board product, which is exquisitely
"beautiful" and turned it into a garden filled scene capturing a piece of time in a 'beautiful life'....which is the inspiration of words I was going for with this project. Shabby Chic Home Decor Mini Cherry Blossom Tree (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I had purchased a mini home décor LED Cherry Blossom tree for half price after Christmas and through it in my stash, waiting for the right inspiration to turn it into a beautiful shabby chic piece for my home! When Reneabouquets designed a beautiful Sweet Garden Fairy with Glass Wings, I knew she would be the perfect touch to create a mini fairy garden under the cherry blossom tree! I began by dismantling all the fabric flowers and plastic centers from the lights and then used a heavy black Gesso to paint the plastic base and shiny plastic tape that covered the branches. Then I started to re-assemble/redecorate the lights back into flowers but used a sheer ribbon trim to recreate the flowers and three different Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits pieces as the centers. Once everything was assembled, I turned on the switch...and Presto!! The lights worked so I began to create my fairy garden underneath the branches. None of this would have been possible without the use of exquisite product from Reneabouquets!
