DIY Farmhouse/Shabby Style "Blessed" Sign

   Time to create another Farmhouse style sign! Because, well, I just am not tired of doing them!! So its a treat for me to create them and I hope to inspire you to create one for yourself! I started with a partial sign kit I had bought...so I am using the main board piece and the large ring from the kit. The sign didn't come with a frame. You could have purchased the frame, but I did not, because I mainly wanted the elements in the kit...but as I began designing the sign...I wished I had the frame. What to do...build my own! I started with two frames from Dollar Tree and using my Miter Saw I cut down the pieces of the frame to the sizes I needed and...after some sawing time...I had a frame! I painted and distressed all my pieces and was ready to decorate.
   Jumping forward, I was able to complete the shabby portion of the project with beautiful product from Reneabouquets.com including one of her brand new Beautiful Board releases.. the Dainty Butterfly set. Soooo gorgeous and perfect for those farmhouse inspired projects... As with all Reneabouquets Beautiful Board pieces they come in a beautiful vintage white finish and can top off any of your creativity needs!

DIY Rustic Farmhouse Inspired "Building our Love" (DT Project for www.reneabouquets.com)

I've seen this post on Pinterest, like 1000 times and have wanted to recreate it for awhile...and now was the time. It was a simple post...the project was made by using wood pieces that spelled out the word 'love' with a metal shaped heart for the 'o'. Simplistic in nature, rustic...right up my alley! I actually had a bundle of these thin wood pieces that I got from Habitat For Humanity last year for $1.00.  They were the perfect pieces of wood for a project like this. I really wanted my project to be the same theme...farmhouse inspired, rustic...but with a little twist of shabby thrown in and I wanted to use some elements that would give it a homey industrial sort of look.  Completing my project to its beautiful end was  completely easy using product from Reneabouquets.com.
