Shabby Chic Altered Home Decor Photo Frame (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I wanted to create a beautiful gift for my best friend of 30 years, as a Christmas gift. I purchased a wood sign with a heartwarming quote and a wood picture frame. I painted the picture frame with Prima Heavy Black Gesso and then using a white Folk Art Home Décor Chalk paint and a foam brush, I dry brushed on some white to give a distressed look to match the distressed look of the wood sign. I then used E6000 to glue the frame to the sign. I tried to stay within the distressed feel of sign so I recolored a recent photo of us to black and white so that it would lend a more timeless feel. I added beautiful pieces (including the exquisite Beautiful Board product) from Reneabouquets to complete the overall textured quality for a treasured keepsake that can be displayed in her home for years to come.

Shabby Chic/Vintage Altered Christmas Sled (DT project for Reneabouquets)

Well, how many other descriptive words could I get into the title for this project! LOL! But I decided to create a shabby chic/vintage wonderland full of Christmas warmth and traditional colors of reds, and whites! I also wanted to incorporate a little bit of a rustic country feel by adding some elements such as painted "rusty" bells, "sugared" bells, a Beautiful Printed Board called "Christmas Holly" that I feel adds further to the rustic, country, vintage feel. I wanted this project to be simple, inviting and match some of the other décor I have created this holiday season. I think it worked out perfectly and am pleased to have it displayed in my home! Shabby Chic Bedspring Snowflake (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I decided to create a shabby chic, winter-filled wonderland full of warmth and inviting colors of creams, whites, frosty blues and even a tiny amount of teal! I wanted to incorporate a rusty old bedspring as the base (but yikes!!! I felt terribly guilty about painting it! LOL!) and a snowflake template I found on the internet that I resized, machine stitched and stuffed! I am currently creating for upcoming Christmas bazaars and wanted to design a quick, yet simple, inviting alternative for home décor for the holidays!

This was very easy to do with beautiful products from Reneabouquets!!

Shabby Chic DIY Altered Home Decor Keepsake (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I wanted to create a beautiful gift for a friend, (whose daughter had recently married this last summer) and the minute she popped a few pictures onto social media, I saw them, had to have them for my project and saved them quickly to my album. I actually wasn't sure which photo I was going to use for this project until I received a new Beautiful Board release from Reneabouquets...the "Tree Frame" (link will be below). It went perfectly with this photo of the bride, so picturesque, in front of the silhouetted tree. I used a Dollar Tree Wood Home Décor piece, removed the "yarn art" and painted it with Prima Heavy Black Gesso. I tried to stay within the feel of my friend's home colors of greys, stones, and natural shades, recolored the photo just a bit to give it a more timeless feel, and added beautiful pieces (including the exquisite Beautiful Board product) from Reneabouquets to complete the overall enchanting, textured quality for a treasured keepsake that can be displayed in her home for years to come.

Shabby Chic Wood Tag (DT Project for Reneabouqets)

I found an idea on Pinterest. It was simply a card with a ton of beautiful ruffled fabrics. I took that idea and using a 5x8 wood tag, developed it further into a piece of Home Decor that can be hung up or displayed in an easel. I was privileged to use some beautiful Reneabouquets laces/trims, Glitter Glass, Trinkets and the luscious Beautiful Board Product! The items used in this project will be below the pictures with direct links to each of them. Fabric Shabby Chic Pumpkin (DT project for Reneabouquets)

When I took a look at Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Quilling Pattern Set, my eyes feasted on the "leaves" in this set and since its that time of year, I knew those "leaves" would be a perfect compliment to creating a shabby chic fabric pumpkin from scratch!! I have never created a fabric pumpkin from scratch before so I did a little research, came up with a few options of my own and (PRESTO!!!) a pumpkin has emerged! I used beautiful laces from Reneabouquets to adorn my pumpkin with and also used one of those laces to create a flower for my pumpkin! I hung some beautiful trinkets from Reneabouquets Fairy Trinket pack, along with other pearls, baubles, charms and paper flowers from my own supply, a few more Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Shabby Heart bits and then finished up with some beautiful Reneabouquets Glitter Glass to add a beautiful shimmery effect!

Shabby Chic/Mixed Media DIY Inspirational Home Decor (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

Shabby Chic "Set It On A Shelf" Decor (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

I had received this small, 3-tier sign as a gift and after 2 years of staring at it, decided to use it as a base to create new décor...that can sit on a shelf and gather dust....but OHHHH, is it cute! I started with painting it with Prima Heavy White Gesso, a pounce brush and a heat tool. I pounced the Gesso on, dried and set it with a heat tool and continued with this process in about 3 layers. It adds an oh-so-soft texture that can't be denied in saying, "that's neat!" LOL. Try it, you'll use this technique on everything altered! Smooth paint will never be the same. I even decided to use a Tim Holtz wood finial as a "candlestick base" to add a little more flair. I used the same painting texture process on this piece as well. Two different paper collections by Prima (Love Clippings and Rossibelle) were used on this project. I then proceeded to add a combination of flowers and embellishments (as many as I could get on this 5 inch tall piece) to finish and add the final touches!
