Shabby Chic Home Decor Art (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

For the month of August, Reneabouquets.com and Crafty City.com are teaming up for a fun collaboration called Paradise In August! Design Team members from both stores are creating inspiring, original art using either Reneabouquets Treasure Box #1 or #2, both loaded with lots of gorgeous products that will have you reaching for it over and over again to create your Summer Arts, Crafts & DIY Décor Projects!! Each item in these kits have been selected by the Reneabouquets Design Team and is coordinated beautifully with 12x12 and 6x6 papers from Mintay's Paradise collection as well as Prima Havana collection flowers called Valeria, from the Crafty City website!
For both my projects this month, I will be working with Treasure Box #2. For this first design, I started with 7x7 wood wall décor piece that I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby and upcycled it into a beautiful shabby chic treasure. Both kits are beach themed, but I really wanted to try and create a project that was shabby with a slight focus on the Reneabouquets Printed Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Sunkissed Starfish Mermaid. I tried to refrain from going too "beach" themed on purpose, as I wanted to show that even though these beautiful kits are designed with the beach at heart, any of these pieces can be used in a whole different direction with a whole different theme. I chose to use the Sunkissed Starfish mermaid for her qualities of beauty and the feeling she elicits when you look at her vs. the vibe of the ocean. I also chose to use the "B" side of the Mintay Paradise paper, because by doing this, and using a more plain pattern in the collection, it helps to change the focus of the obvious beach theme as well.
Be sure to check out my You Tube video for my entire creating process of this project (I've done a fun twist using Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Beautiful Words as part of the background...but you wouldn't know it from first glance!)...the link is below as well as the contents of the Reneabouquets Treasure Box #2 and links to any other Reneabouquets product used not included in this kit. There will be links to the Crafty City.com site as well as the links to the Mintay Paradise Paper Collection and Prima Flowers used...and a couple of coupons for you! I hope you enjoy this projects! diy Altered Romantic Canvas (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

Well, as with my last DT project for Reneabouquets, I was inspired by another wedding photo of my Nephew and his new wife, married last summer! The photographer had taken such beautiful photos and the subjects of the photos, helped make the pictures devastatingly beautiful! The photos were just begging me for a creative outlet! I wanted to keep the theme of this canvas in comparison with the last canvas, using much of the same product, but look completely different. I chose the colors because last year for a bridal shower gift, I made a 12x12 home decor piece using one of their engagement photos, and although I was wanting to match the last project I made with similar embellishments, I wanted to match the colors of that bridal shower gift...so, all in all, the 3 combined pieces would make make a cohesive unit...at least I'm hoping.
I added alot of of layering with Reneabouquets product including her Beautiful Board (laser cut chipboard product) , Mulberry paper flowers, stunning laces, beautiful butterflies and a new recent paper release by Graphic 45 called Love Notes. All of this combined turned my vision into a romantic scene capturing a genuinely happy moment of love on a special day to remember forever. Below the photos, you will find a link to my You Tube Video showing the entire start to finish process of this project as well as all the links to the Reneabouquet products I used on this piece of home decor. diy Shabby Chic Altered Canvas (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

Today, I am bringing you a DIY home décor project, shabby chic inspired, using a 5 1/4 x 10 1/4 canvas art that I purchased from Dollar Tree. I originally was going to cover over the canvas, but in the end, decided it would be easier to basically destroy the canvas, removing the small "wood" element on the front which housed the quote (saving it for use later with my new design), and also remove the printed background canvas piece entirely, so that I could just the wood frame underneath.
I added quite a bit of layering with Reneabouquets product including her exquisite Beautiful Board (laser cut chipboard product) and turned it into a shabby filled scene capturing a happy moment of time representing love on a special day to remember forever. I also added in layered elements of flowers and embellishments that contribute to this picturesque moment. The photo I used is a personal one...a young, vibrant, beautiful woman who married my nephew! This will be a surprise to her once it hits social media, because she has no idea I made this for her. She also has no idea, that I'm probably using another photo from that day on my next project! They were just the sweetest photos and were begging my creative hands to respond to the call of turning them into shabby masterpieces for home décor! I hope she loves them! So stay tuned to see the next project! :)
I hope you enjoy this! Below the pictures are the links to the Reneabouquets product I used on this project, plus a link to the start to finish process of this project from my You Tube channel! Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Wood Frame (DT Project for Reneabouquets.com)

Most of us probably have an unfinished wood frame in our box of projects to do....I, personally have a couple...so I decided to bring one out for a Reneabouquets Design Team project. This wood frame is about 6x8 in size with an opening of about 4x6...give or take a few lines of measurement. LOL. I thought the opening would have a great depth to house some of my embellishments while also allowing those embellishments to rise upward (by layering) and spill out onto the frame itself. I was able to feature my main piece, the Reneabouquets Printed Beautiful Board Romance and Roses Blue Cherub...completely adorable and perfect for my small but shabby piece of home décor.
I will have the links down below to all the other exquisite items used from Reneabouquets.com, plus photos of this project. If you are wanting to see how I put this project together...then you're in luck! I will have the start to finish You Tube video down below as well. Thanks for stopping by! There will also be coupon codes from Reneabouquets listed below as well! Thanks for stopping by!

Mini Wood Book Stack (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

A few years ago I found a bag full of wooden book shapes, in different sizes, at a garage sale. I didn't know what I was going to do with them, but I knew they would come in handy with art projects at some point...and I was right! I've used several of the tiny books with projects like this one of a decorative Shabby Chic Bird Cage:
   https://faythbydesign.blogspot.com/2018/04/altered-shabby-chic-birdcage-dt-project.html
But today, with this project, we are going to use the larger of the book shapes and do an altered mini book stack. This project was super quick and fun! Adding in all the exquisite pieces from Reneabouquets including Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard pieces like Spring Butterflies and Mulberry Paper Flowers that are handcrafted in house using high quality mulberry paper, helped turn this shabby chic piece of art turned into fabulous piece of home decor! This piece will surely fill up that tiny spot on your shelf begging for inspiration! Below you will find the pictures showing close up detail of the project, followed by a link to my You Tube video, showing the entire process of this project in a start to finish format, a list with all the links to the Reneabouquets product that I used on this wooden mini book stack and completing this blog post is and completing this blog post is a coupon code for the month of May to be used for your shopping fun at Reneabouquets.com! 8x8 Farmhouse Inspired DIY Home Decor (DT Project for Reneabouquets)

Today, I am bringing you a DIY home décor project, farmhouse inspired, using an 8x8 wood piece as my base. This wood piece is actually an insert for a shadow box frame put out by 7Gypsies. I have a few of these in my stash, as I love the texture it has with the circles. It's just a fun way to display all the farmhouse inspired elements.
I added quite a bit of layering with Reneabouquets product including the exceptional Beautiful Board and Printed Beautiful Board (laser cut chipboard product) and turned my vision into a farmhouse filled scene representing love and happiness. I also added in layered elements of flowers and embellishments that contribute to this statement of a beautiful life together.
I hope you enjoy this! Below the pictures are the links to the Reneabouquets product I used on this project, plus a link to the start to finish process of this project from my You Tube channel! Also, I will have information for a Reneabouquets coupon that may be applied to your April order (since there is one day, today, of April left) and a coupon code for May. Farmhouse Inspired DIY 6x6 Canvas

Today, I am bringing you a DIY home décor project, farmhouse inspired, using a 6x6 Canvas. I thought it would be fun to flip the canvas to its back side and use that as a frame to house all the yummy farmhouse inspired elements.
I added quite a bit of layering with Reneabouquets product including her exquisite Beautiful Board (laser cut chipboard product) and turned it into a farmhouse filled scene capturing a happy piece of time representing life, home, family...and also added in layered elements of flowers and embellishments that contribute to this picturesque moment. If you look close, I also added a cute water faucet element in the top right corner...representing the thought of keeping your beautiful life nourished with love... just like when we water flowers! There is even the water faucet knob in the lower right hand corner! Don't worry, I didn't steal the knob from my house! LOL! This is an embellishment piece from my stash that I found at Hobby Lobby.
I hope you enjoy this! Below the pictures are the links to the Reneabouquets product I used on this project, plus a link to the start to finish process of this project from my You Tube channel! Also, I will have information for a Reneabouquets coupon that may be applied to your April order, dependent on the amount you spend prior to shipping charges. Only one coupon used per order please.
