Shabby Chic Chalkboard (Guest DT project for Tresors de Luxe)

This month I decided to finally get a project completed that I have been wanting to accomplish for over a year!  It was one of those projects that I knew I would get around to someday. Well, "someday" is finally here! I picked up this chalkboard at a sale for $2.00! it measures about 27 inches tall and about 13 inches wide. I decided to go with one of my favorite paperlines by Pink Paislee called London Market. I added a little bit of accent paper using the Teresa Collins Vintage Finds paper line. For texturing the entire board, I used an acrylic paint/sand combo. I then went to town using most of my favorite embellishments by Prima, Time Holtz, Farmhouse and FabScraps. Paper flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts, wooden words, X & O letters, acrylic butterflies, and a pre-made wooden fence also add a little chic to my shabby! On the wooden words and letters, I first used a layer of Gesso, added some Tim Holtz crackle paint, then on the wooden words only, stamped over the top with a script stamp. In all my projects I  like to add some fun details so this particular project contains a lightbulb, spring coils, a vintage cabinet handle, and even cheesecloth!  I also added finishing touches to the tops of all the embellishments with the acrylic/sand texture paint to add even more dimension!! Of course, none of this would be half as beautiful if I didnt have the yummy goodness from Tresors de Luxe Etsy Shop to bring it all together. I was honored to use some beautiful lace and flowers from the shop. The items numbers will be below the pictures and the link to the shop is to the right on my sidebar!
Here are the pics and the You Tube video for a much closer look at the details!

The beautiful flowers I used from Tresors de Luxe are the Tea Green Velvet and Rhinestone flowers (one of which, can be seen near the angel in this picture) Item Number: FL-004 and the Rhinestone Centered Ivory Organza flower
(located at the bottom of this photo) Item Number: FL-037

At the lower right edge of this photo (above the "Live" word) is an Ivory Venice Bridal Embroidered Guipire Lace with Tear Drop Edging. I actually was able to cut this lace into 3 separate beautiful trims and use it throughout the project! The piece shown here is the bottom edge of the lace. Item Number: LA-021 Underneath the word "live", I was so excited to be able to use this (6 row) Ivory Cotton Bridal Embroidered Lace!! Beautiful!! Item Number: LA-036

In this picture you will notice a jar of wooden hearts spilling out...I wrapped a cute floral trim around the jar. This is the top portion of the Ivory Venice Bridal Embroidered Guipire Lace with Tear Drop Edging that I cut apart. So, out of 1 yard of lace, I was able to get 3 separate designs of cute trim to use all around my project!

On this lower section, I used 2 more of the Tea Green Velvet and Rhinestone flowers and a stunning Venice Lace Heart Trim! Item Number: LA-004     Above the white bow on the lower right, you can see the middle portion of the lace (Ivory Venice Bridal Embroidered Guipire Lace with Tear Drop Edging) that I cut apart (Item Number: LA-021) It's peeking out! This portion of the lace has a swirl-type design and adds a soft, whimsical touch!
