As you enter into this blog, you will find all sorts of DIY's from home décor to papercrafting...all created by me...a sweet & sassy woman, saved by Grace. I am always challenging my world of handmade possibilities & I am always seeking the crafty life! I hope you find lots of inspiration here!
I really wanted to capture the colors of Fall with aqua, gray, beige and a little splatter of Apricot...reaching for the warmer side of the Autumn spectrum. I also wanted a relatively easy DIY project but with the look of spending a lot of time! :). I started with a hanging wood sign that I purchased at Wal-Mart in the Fall Decor section this year. It had a hefty price tag of $2.44. LOL. I love to pack a lot of product in a small space! It allows me to layer...and then layer some more...but then in the end, create a memorable statement piece when it is finished. I used a lot of Reneabouquets Beautiful Board product this time, commemorating the 2nd anniversary of the Beautiful Board collection. Pictures are below with a full start to finish process video from my You Tube channel, as well as links to all the divine product I used from Reneabouquets.com! Thanks for stopping by!
Most of us probably have an unfinished wood piece we purchased from a craft store in our box of projects to do....I, personally, have a couple...OK...you caught me in a fib...I have more than a couple...so I decided to bring one of these wood pieces out for a Reneabouquets Design Team project. I really wanted to do something in Autumn colors, so I chose a Prima Marketing Inc paper collection called Amber Moon, which hosts a bountiful supply of beautiful colors for the Fall Season! The wood piece I am working with is 7x7 in size. What I liked about this piece is the dimension. It isn't flat, but has four raised 3x3 squares...perfect for paper dimension. I thought these squares would add some texture in the background while allowing me to layer...and layer...and layer in the foreground (You'll see what I'm talking about in the photos!). I was able to use many beautiful pieces from Reneabouquets ...including some fun Fall Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard pieces...which all worked perfectly for my small but shabby piece of home décor.
I will have the links down below to all the items used from Reneabouquets.com, plus photos of this project. If you are wanting to see how I put this project together...then you're in luck! I will have the start to finish You Tube video down below as well. Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Everyone!
I get lots of requests on my You Tube channel (around the holidays) on how I make my cute tags for my product that I sell at Craft Bazaars. Well, normally, Id love to do a "how-to" tutorial and show you these things...but I'm afraid that although I do use the most recent of Windows program, the Microsoft Publisher program that I use to create my tags is not so new....OK...its like a 2002 program!!! You can now get off the floor. LOL. Buying programs is expensive, as we all know, and since this year and model still works on my computer....why should I buy a new one, right?
Sooooo, with that said, I've decided to create some printables for you all to use. This first one up is for a recent DIY tutorial upcycling wooden Dollar Tree pumpkins to make them even cuter pumpkin for home decor. Check out my You Tube link below to watch this craft and try it for yourself! Following the video link are two printables for the project. Of course, you can use these printables on any cute Autumn Home Decor project!!! I've developed the Autumn Pumpkin Phrases so that they can be punched out using a 2 inch craft circle punch or you can cut them out with scissors, of course, and mod podge or glue them on to your pieces. You can also use carbon paper for tracing and then use a sharpie marker or paint and brush to finish your design! I've made phrases or single words that you can mix and match! The Hand Drawn Leaves printable can be used to make your own leaves
using fabrics such as felt or burlap (or even the Dollar Tree burlap ribbon that is 2 inches wide can be used). Simply download the printable and size it according to your needs, trace your favorite design onto the fabric or ribbon, cut it out and use it for your project!

For both my projects this month, I will be working with Treasure Box #2. For this first design, I started with 7x7 wood wall décor piece that I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby and upcycled it into a beautiful shabby chic treasure. Both kits are beach themed, but I really wanted to try and create a project that was shabby with a slight focus on the Reneabouquets Printed Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Sunkissed Starfish Mermaid. I tried to refrain from going too "beach" themed on purpose, as I wanted to show that even though these beautiful kits are designed with the beach at heart, any of these pieces can be used in a whole different direction with a whole different theme. I chose to use the Sunkissed Starfish mermaid for her qualities of beauty and the feeling she elicits when you look at her vs. the vibe of the ocean. I also chose to use the "B" side of the Mintay Paradise paper, because by doing this, and using a more plain pattern in the collection, it helps to change the focus of the obvious beach theme as well.
Be sure to check out my You Tube video for my entire creating process of this project (I've done a fun twist using Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Beautiful Words as part of the background...but you wouldn't know it from first glance!)...the link is below as well as the contents of the Reneabouquets Treasure Box #2 and links to any other Reneabouquets product used not included in this kit. Well, as with my last DT project for Reneabouquets, I was inspired by another wedding photo of my Nephew and his new wife, married last summer! The photographer had taken such beautiful photos and the subjects of the photos, helped make the pictures devastatingly beautiful! The photos were just begging me for a creative outlet! I wanted to keep the theme of this canvas in comparison with the last canvas, using much of the same product, but look completely different. I chose the colors because last year for a bridal shower gift, I made a 12x12 home decor piece using one of their engagement photos, and although I was wanting to match the last project I made with similar embellishments, I wanted to match the colors of that bridal shower gift...so, all in all, the 3 combined pieces would make make a cohesive unit...at least I'm hoping.
I added alot of of layering with Reneabouquets product including her Beautiful Board (laser cut chipboard product) , Mulberry paper flowers, stunning laces, beautiful butterflies and a new recent paper release by Graphic 45 called Love Notes. All of this combined turned my vision into a romantic scene capturing a genuinely happy moment of love on a special day to remember forever. Below the photos, you will find a link to my You Tube Video showing the entire start to finish process of this project as well as all the links to the Reneabouquet products I used on this piece of home decor. Today, I am bringing you a DIY home décor project, shabby chic inspired, using a 5 1/4 x 10 1/4 canvas art that I purchased from Dollar Tree. I originally was going to cover over the canvas, but in the end, decided it would be easier to basically destroy the canvas, removing the small "wood" element on the front which housed the quote (saving it for use later with my new design), and also remove the printed background canvas piece entirely, so that I could just the wood frame underneath.
I added quite a bit of layering with Reneabouquets product including her exquisite Beautiful Board (laser cut chipboard product) and turned it into a shabby filled scene capturing a happy moment of time representing love on a special day to remember forever. I also added in layered elements of flowers and embellishments that contribute to this picturesque moment. The photo I used is a personal one...a young, vibrant, beautiful woman who married my nephew! This will be a surprise to her once it hits social media, because she has no idea I made this for her. She also has no idea, that I'm probably using another photo from that day on my next project! They were just the sweetest photos and were begging my creative hands to respond to the call of turning them into shabby masterpieces for home décor! I hope she loves them! So stay tuned to see the next project! :)
I hope you enjoy this! Below the pictures are the links to the Reneabouquets product I used on this project, plus a link to the start to finish process of this project from my You Tube channel! Thanks for stopping by!
